Grigory Karasin Visited Field Consular Office of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the RM

As it was reported earlier, today the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation headed by State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the RF Grigory Karasin visits Tiraspol. Within the framework of official visit Russian diplomats and Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski visited field consular office of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the RM.

In particular Grigory Karasin expressed interest towards additional quarters of field consular office passed to the Russian side by the President of the PMR. Distinguished guest made an acquaintance with new equipment for issuing of biometric passports valid for ten years. As it was stated earlier the launch of the equipment for issuing of biometric passports at the consular office in Tiraspol will facilitate issue of documents for Russian citizens living in Pridnestrovie.

Grigory Karasin thanked leadership of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for granted quarters and for creation of descent conditions for activity of Russian diplomats. 

Answering the questions of journalists on the perspectives of opening in Tiraspol of Consulate General of the RF, Russian diplomat expressed confidence that this question will be solved positively. “Around 180 thousand of our compatriots live in Pridnestrovie. We can not leave their needs without attention. The Russian side insists and will continue to insist of the opening of Consulate General in Pridnestrovie,” Grigory Karasin said. He emphasized that there are no objective reasons both from the point of view of diplomatic experience and from the point of view of the law.
