On March 1, 2012, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR hosted the meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and acting head of Friendship Society Ternopol-Tiraspol Ivan Marchuk. Participating in the meeting also was the President of the PMR's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vasily Kozhan and member of Friendship Society Ternopol-Tiraspol Sergey Bilyi.
Ukrainian representatives informed Pridnestrovien diplomats on current dynamics in development of inter-regional connections and convey proposals on behalf of the leadership of Ternopol region.
Interlocutors discussed a number of certain aspects of perspective cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Ternopol region of Ukraine in economic, scientific-educational, cultural and tourist sphere. During the meeting Ukrainian guests passed to Pridnestrovien representatives information and invitations to the events, planned in Ternopol region for the year 2012
Ivan Marchuk also reported, that office of Friendship Society Ternopol-Tiraspol will be opened in Ternopol in the nearest future.
Touching upon the perspectives of future cooperation, Vitaly Ignatiev noted, that the development of inter-regional connections with Ukraine is one of important directions of foreign policy activity of Pridnestrovie within the context of activization of cultural-economic interaction. In this connection the possibility of mobilization of external investments and enrichment with the experience of Ternopol region in the development of tourist sphere, has principal significance for the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic. Diplomat expressed readiness of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR to promote further development of diverse connections between Pridnestrovie and Ternopol region.
The participants of the meeting arranged to continue system interaction on present direction.
