Yesterday, the Foreign Ministry opened an exhibition “Spring hopes” of Pridnestrovian amateur artists, dedicated to the celebration of International Women's Day of March 8.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski, Chairperson of the Government of the PMR Tatyana Turanskaya, Head of Administration of the President of the PMR Nadezhda Baranova, Head of the State Service for Culture of the PMR Maria Kyrmyz, and also representatives of the creative community of Pridnestrovie.
The paintings, compared to many others which were exhibited in the Foreign Ministry, are characterized by the fact that they were created not by professionals, but amateurs. The creators of the paintings are representatives of different professions; art is an occupation for the soul for them.
Opening the exhibition, Nina Shtanski congratulated the ladies participating in the event on the upcoming holiday, noting that it was a lady-artist that can subtly reflect all the tenderness and beauty of spring: “We can see not only Pridnestrovie and the Pridnestrovian identity in your paintings, to which we, of course, pay our guests’ attention. I see in these works you, dear ladies. I find you weak and defenseless, strong and self-confident, in some paintings - strict, and in other – reckless. Our lady’s happiness is in this– in the variety of colours which spring and the holiday of hope – the 8th of March - gives us”. The Head of the Foreign Ministry wished the painters happiness, love, inspiration and harmony, without which it is impossible to create.
Chairperson of the Government of the PMR Tatyana Turanskaya noted that the works of the Pridnestrovian lady-artists are special and the role of the ladies themselves is invaluable. “Lady’s view on the world is unordinary, unusual, and the works presented at the exhibition are proof of that,” - said the Head of Government. “Your works confirm that a woman is a generator, the beginning of everything. The woman - is the engine of love, energy, she can see the most beautiful thing in the world and in every person,” – Tatyana Turanskaya emphasized.
Head of Administration of the President of the PMR Nadezhda Baranova conveyed congratulations on behalf of the President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk. “Pridnestrovie is traditionally rich in talented people. And you - the ladies-artists - once again prove that a talented person is talented in everything. I wish you the same sentiments that your pictures express - brightness and cheerfulness,”- said the Head of the Administration.
The exhibition of the Pridnestrovian artists will be on display in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the month.
