On November 16-17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, representative for political issues from Pridnestrovie, Vladimir Yastrebchak, took part in the next round of informal consultations held between the participants of the Permanent Consultations on Political Issues in the Framework of the Negotiation Process for the Transdniestrian Settlement (the five plus two format). Participating in the meeting, which was held in Kiev, were high-ranking representatives of the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, the Russian Federation and the OSCE, as well as observers from the European Union and the USA.
On November 16, Kiev saw the meeting between the participants of the consultations and Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantin Grishchenko. According to the Ukraine's foreign policy department, the diplomats discussed issues related to the system of guarantees in the settlement process, to the freedom of movement of people, goods and services and also confidence-building measures.
Addressing the participants of the consultations, Konstantin Grishchenko marked that Ukraine as a guarantor country and mediator in the Moldova-Pridnestrovie settlement will exert every effort to solve this problem exclusively by peaceful means.
