PMR's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pridnestrovien Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs (SPAPP) are intended to unite their efforts in order to protect and to promote economic interests of the republic on the foreign arena. This objective is stated in Cooperation Agreement, signed today by PMR's Foreign Minister Vladimir Yastrebchak and the President of SPAPP Anatoliy Belitchenko.
Giving the journalists comments upon the signed document, the Head of Pridnestrovien diplomacy pointed, that it will be a new phase in the relations established between the Pridnestrovien business community and foreign office. “One of the objectives of PMR's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is rendering maximum assistance to foreign-economic activity of the republic. SPAPP – leading republican organization, standing upon the interests of business, therefore it is quite logical to raise well-established interaction with certain enterprises to the system level,” Vladimir Yastrebchak said.
The document provides that parties will facilitate attraction of foreign investments into the Pridnestrovien economy and infrastructure, cooperate in the questions of making favourable conditions for the development of trade and economic, financial and scientific and technical relations with foreign countries and foreign economic agents. Besides, according to the Head of Pridnestrovien diplomacy, the Agreement makes the provision for reciprocal exchange of information about the problems, arose in the process of foreign-economic activity, about the international events, interesting for the Pridnestrovien side. “PMR's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established quite good contacts with the number of foreign embassies, foreign state institutions, and this may favour the promotion of interests of the Pridnestrovien business on the foreign arena,” the Head of PMR's MFA said.
According to SPAPP President Anatoliy Belitchenko, the concerted efforts of the Pridnestrovien Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs allow solving the problems which the Pridnestrovien economy is confronted with. In his opinion, in the first place it is necessary to concentrate on the questions of attraction of foreign investments – without them the republic will find it difficult to develop business activity. In cooperation with foreign office SPAPP is going to pay great attention to the development of relations with Eastern partners. “We have already established good relations with Ukrainian business community and have worked through many problematic issues. And now it is important to come into close contacts with Russia,” Anatoly Belitchenko reported.
Today in the SPAPP's office there has also been a meeting of representatives of the organization and PMR's Foreign Minister. At the meeting all the possible directions of future cooperation were discussed.
