Today, a meeting of expert (working) groups on the development of transport and road infrastructure was held at the OSCE Mission office in Tiraspol involving political representatives from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova Vitaly Ignatiev and Kristina Lesnik.
At the meeting, the participants summed up the results of the work done to implement the Protocol Decision on participation of vehicles from Pridnestrovie, which do not perform economic activity, in the international road traffic of April 24, 2018.
Particularly they focused on technical aspects of implementation of the agreement, including the technical inspection of vehicles on the territory of Pridnestrovie. Attention was paid to issues related to the delivery of necessary equipment to the Vehicles Registration Offices, the access of responsible specialists, payment of services and the use of technical means of communication.
Political representatives confirmed the launch in the test mode of the procedure for registering Pridnestrovian cars in the Vehicles Registration Offices in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa from September 1, 2018 and personally visited the office in the capital of Pridnestrovie.
Vitaly Ignatiev and Kristina Lesnik also agreed and signed a joint invitation to mediators and observers to participate in the launch of the Vehicles Registration Offices.
