Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Malyarchuk and CoE independent expert and project coordinator Owen Masters.
The meeting was of working character and came to be the next stage in coordinating positions of the sides in the framework of a series of programs implemented in Transdniestria under auspices of the Council of Europe.
In particular, the conversation focused on the cooperation in the spheres of higher education, mass media, and between the civil societies of the sides. The Council of Europe organizes a series of workshops along these directions involving journalists and public figures from Moldova and Transdniestria designed to find opportunities for building favorable atmosphere which could strengthen trust between the sides to the conflict.
The interlocutors agreed the projects realized by the CoE can foster meeting goals of the Moldova-Transdniestria relations settlement.
