About working consultations with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova

The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch.

During the meeting, they had a thorough and interesting dialogue on the entire spectrum of topical issues of the negotiation process. The situation in the implementation of the agreements signed in November 2017, as well as the Protocol Decision on the participation of vehicles from Pridnestrovie that are not engaged in commercial activities in international road traffic, was analysed in detail.

They noted full implementation of protocol decisions on the Latin script schools and land use in the Dubossary district of Pridnestrovie, and the need for tangible progress on criminal cases and telecommunications. In this context, the interlocutors discussed in detail the prospects for organizing a meeting of the “Permanent Conference...” in the 5+2 format.

The diplomats agreed on the need to develop a functional and mutually acceptable mechanism for importing medicines and medical products into Pridnestrovie. The OSCE Mission expressed its readiness to support the ongoing work of the parties. The interlocutors outlined particular areas for further progress in the framework of the negotiation process, including on issues of banking cooperation, as well as in other relevant areas.

The participants in the meeting spoke in favor of finding mutually acceptable solutions and preserving the constructive atmosphere in the dialogue. Vitaly Ignatiev in this context spoke against any unilateral actions that could lead to the creation of tension and deterioration of the atmosphere in the dialogue of the parties.
