Today, in accordance with the agreement reached earlier, the office of the OSCE Mission in Tiraspol hosted the regular meeting of expert (working) groups on the development of transport and road facilities of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova with the involvement of insurance entities.
During the meeting the sides pursuant to paragraphs 4 and 5 of Protocol Decision “On the mechanism of cooperation of insurance entities of the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie under the mandatory civil liability insurance contracts for vehicle owners” began the procedure of approving the Framework mechanism of cooperation of insurance entities.
During the meeting, the sides were able to agree on a number of key provisions of the future Framework mechanism. It is expected that next week insurance entities of the Republic of Moldova and Pridnestrovie will hold a series of meetings on agreeing on the provisions of the draft document which remains controversial.
The next meeting of relevant specialists with the participation of representatives of insurance companies can be held in the near future at the invitation of the Moldovan side.
