The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR continues to receive telegrams with condolences in connection with the departure of General-Colonel Stefan Florovich Kitsak. The telegram from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev reads:
“It was with the feeling of deep sorrow that I have accepted the news of the premature demise of General-Colonel Stefan Florovich Kitsak.
A decent son of the people of Pridnestrovie, a patriot, a man of great courage, Stefan Florovich proved himself as a manly protector of the interests and security of our common Motherland – the Soviet Union, standing then in the first rows of heroic defenders of Pridnestrovie. When in Republic's various leading positions during important periods, he had shown himself as an experienced military, public and political figure.
General Kitsak was one of those who began to establish bridges of friendship, solidarity and mutual support between the peoples of Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia. Several times he had been to the Republic of South Ossetia and constantly enjoyed much liking and respect of its people.
Mourning over the death of Stefan Florovich, we bow our heads in honour of his memory and ask to convey our sincere condolences to his relatives and friends.”
