Today the PMR's MFA hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan.

During the welcoming speech Nina Shtanski expressed hope that the started process of constructive interaction with the OSCE Mission to Moldova will develop actively in the future.  In conditions of aggravation of contradictions in Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations, as she noted, such cooperation is especially relevant.

“You represent a field mission -a working body of the mediator in the negotiations, and for us it is very important to identify those areas in which our interaction now can help the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova,” - said the head of the Foreign Ministry.

In his turn, Michael Scanlan announced his intention to provide full support in the resolution of disputes between the parties.

“I am very grateful and support such a format of communication. I hope that this form of work will lead to a real progress. Both I, and the Special Representative of the OSCE CiO are working hard to meet regularly with both sides. We make regular contact with that party and with you in order to find specific solutions to the existing problems. And, of course, this work involves commitment of both parties to compromise solutions and to the dialogue”, - said the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.

During the meeting Nina Shtanski and Michael Scanlan discussed a wide range of issues related to the negotiation process, as well as issues of bilateral cooperation.
