Informal visit of the delegation from the Turkish Republic headed by the Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazidgy took place today. The delegation included Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Mekhmet Selim Cartal, representatives of Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Science, of Industry, and of Technology of Turkey.
Representatives of the Turkish delegation were received by the Deputy Foreign Minister of PMR Vitaliy Ignatiev. Informal visit included visit to the Historical Archaeological Complex “Bendery Fortress”. Distinguished guests expressed their admiration about the level of preservation of the historical-cultural site and the modernization efforts of the Pridnestrovian side, and showed their interest in the development of tourism industry of Pridnestrovie.
In the course of the visit Mr. Yazidgy voiced a number of offers to assist the Pridnestrovian side in further restoration of the historic look of the site.
The sides agreed to continue constructive dialogue in the field of cultural interaction.
