Today, further to the agreements reached during the meeting of political representatives of Moldova and Pridnestrovie on September 25, 2015, the office of the OSCE Mission in Bendery hosted a meeting of the expert (working) groups on development of transport and road facilities.
The meeting discussed in detail the issue related to the ban imposed by the Republic of Moldova on crossing the Moldovan-Ukrainian border of vehicles registered in Pridnestrovie. The Pridnestrovian side urged Moldovan colleagues to impose a moratorium on the execution of the ban for the period of negotiations on the settlement of this problem.
The Moldovan side has committed itself to report in the near future to higher officials about Pridnestrovie’s proposal and to inform the Pridnestrovian side about the readiness to follow the proposed way.
On the Moldovan side’s initiative the meeting raised the issue related to the movement on the territory of Pridnestrovie of vehicles registered in foreign countries, with the use of international insurance policy “Green Card”.
