Journalism Proficiency Courses for participants from Pridnestrovie, Moldova and Odessa region will take place in Yalta from March 20 to April 2 on the cultural and recreational complex ‘Russia'. The courses are organized by the Institute for CIS Studies and OOO RosUkrConsulting with support from Public Diplomacy Fund after A.M. Gorchakov, Governmental Commission of the Russian Federation on Compatriots Living Abroad and ZAO Tiraspol Wine&Brandy Distillery KVINT.
Journalists take part in lectures in three main fields: forms and methods of increasing journalistic professionalism, role of Mass Media as an instrument of public diplomacy, actual topics of foreign relations, foreign policy of Russia, Ukraine and Moldova, perspectives of Moldo-Pridnestrovien settlement, regional development and current situation in Moldo-Pridnestrovien region and Novorossiya.
The participants of the courses will listen to the leading politicians, journalists and experts: Director of Institute for CIS Studies K.F. Zatulin, political scientist, publicist and councilor of four Ukrainian presidents D.I. Vydrin, dean of Higher School of Television of the Moscow State University V.T. Tretyakov, President of Izvestiya newspaper V.K. Mamontov, TV presenter and editor-in-chief of Odnako magazine M.V. Leontiev, Deputy Director of Institute for CIS Studies V.L. Zharikhin, political scientist, director of Ukrainian office of Institute for CIS Studies V.V. Kornilov and experts from Moldova and Pridnestrovie. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski will pass the lecture on theme ‘Foreign Policy of the PMR and perspectives of Moldo-Pridnestrovien Settlement'.
Practical training seminars and brainstorms are provided for journalists, during which they will be able not only to get answers on questions of interest from first hands, but also to propose their own visions on resolving some problems of regional politics.
The materials from the courses will be placed on the information and analytical portal of the Institute for CIS Studies ‘Materik' on the regular basis.
