Law on Goals and Principles of Conducting Negotiation Process with the Republic of Moldova will be elaborated in Pridnestrovie. A relevant instruction was given today by President of the PMR Igor Smirnov at the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vladimir Yastrebchak.

As it was stated by the head of the Pridnestrovien diplomacy at the briefing for local journalists and those accredited in Pridnestrovie, the basic parameters of this legislative initiative have already been defined. According to the Minister, the draft law will describe in details the competence of the organs of power, primarily, of the PMR's MFA, for conducting the negotiation process with Moldova, and elucidate the main terms and definitions in this issue.

“Such law is necessary so that to avoid various speculations, including external ones, regarding the fact for which purposes the negotiation process is carried out. Its goals must be clear for our population which should see that in this question no one is going beyond the framework established by PMR's Constitution and the referenda held”, marked Vladimir Yastrebchak. “The Law is necessary also so as to specify the goals and powers of the state authorities and officials of Pridnestrovie who are somehow involved in the negotiation process.”

In the words of the head of the foreign policy department, the draft law will be worked out in a quick manner. “After this, the corresponding initiative of the President of the PMR in the order of legislative necessity will be submitted to the Supreme Soviet for its subsequent consideration and adoption”, told the Minister of Foreign Affairs
