On December 1, 2010, meetings were held between PMR's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Yastrebchak, and representatives of a number of the European Union structures.
In the course of these contacts matters were considered connected with the current events in the Moldova-Pridnestrovie settlement, as well as the impact of the election process in the Republic of Moldova on its dynamics.
The interlocutors discussed also approaching Parliamentary elections in the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic, examined directions of bilateral cooperation between the EU and Pridnestrovie in the context of the possible implementation of joint projects in the sphere of transport communication, economy, and other forms of cross-border cooperation based on the international law.
These meetings showed interest of both sides in charging the potential of bilateral cooperation with practical content which is still not fully realized in view of a number of factors of objective and subjective character.
