Meeting between Nina Shtanski and State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin

As the official site of the Russian MFA reports, today State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia held the meeting with Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister of the PMR Nina Shtanski.

In the course of the meeting the interlocutors discussed current situation in the Pridnestrovian settlement, as well as issues connected with the preparation to the next meeting of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Pridnestrovian Settlement Negotiation Process (the 5+2 format) which will be held on November 25-26 in Kiev.

Moreover, during the meeting priority measures on realization of the Rogozin-Shevchuk Protocol were discussed, in particular the initiatives of a more intensive cooperation at the interdepartmental level in the social, economic, and humanitarian aspects.

It  should be reminded that the Protocol following the Results of the Working Meeting of Deputy Chairperson of the Government, Special Representative of Russia's President of the RF for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin and President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk was signed on October 25 a.c.

This framework Protocol has fixed agreements between the parties on development of mutually advantageous bilateral cooperation in business and trade, education and research, and information spheres.

Official consultations on the realization of the Protocol's provisions started last week. In particular, a wide range of issues relating to bilateral cooperation, inter alia within the framework of the signed Protocol, was discussed between Head of the Foreign Ministry and Farit Mukhametshin,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Republic of Moldova on November 12 a.c. at the Pridnestrovian Foreign Office.
