Yesterday, according to the report made by the press service of the President of the PMR, Pridnestrovian Head of State Yevgeny Shevchuk participated in the activity of the State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs and Contacts with Compatriots. A wide range of economical and political issues was discussed during the sitting.
Yevgeny Shevchuk informed Russian parliamentarians on current socio-economical situation in Pridnestrovie. He noted, that budgeted deficit makes up of the order of 70% and its' discharge is being made to a large extent by means of aid provided by the Russian Federation.
According to the President of the PMR, the basic goal of bodies of state power in condition of present complicated circumstances is unblocking of economical activity.
At the State Duma Yevgeny Shevchuk indicated a number of certain problems which the residents of the Republic face. The Head of State handed to the parliamentarians numerous appeals of Russian citizen living of the territory of Pridnestrovie on the opening of consulate of the Russian Federation in Tiraspol. Yevgeny Shevchuk urged the deputies of the State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs and Contacts with Compatriots to assist the settlement of the given issue since hundreds of citizens wait for reissue of passports of the RF.
“We need to open not only consulate general but representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, we need to increase the quantity of Russian schools, the quantity of professional lecturers – experts in Russian language and literature in Pridnestrovie,” the Chairman of the Committee Leonid Slutsky noted.
On the sitting Yevgeny Shevchuk touched upon the topic of negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. He once again emphasized, that negotiations are held exclusively in direction of development of economical relations between the States.
The exchange of opinions in respect of formulas of solving of problems, which trouble the residents of Pridnestrovie, took place at the State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs and Contacts with Compatriots. “I think, we will manage to find definite ways for our cooperation to be more close,” the head of the Committee Leonid Slutsky made a conclusion.
