Today Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev held a working meeting with delegation of the UNICEF in Moldova headed by Alexandra Yuster in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR. Social Security Program Coordinator Sanja Saranovic, Social Policy Program Coordinator Sergey Burulane and Coordinator for Monitoring and Evaluation Elena Laur also took part in the meeting.
Pridnestrovian side was presented by Head of State Commission on Humanitarian Aid Galina Sandutsa, Medical Chief of Staff of the State Sanitary and Epidemiologic Service Alexander Pechul, Head of State Statistics Service Natalia Sluchinskaya and Director of Independent Center of Analytical Studies “New Age” Elena Bobkova.
Practical issues of implementation of joint social-humanitarian projects on the territory of the PMR under the aegis of UN Children's Fund were discussed during the meeting. In particular, interlocutors discussed organizational and technical researches of Pridnestrovian households conducted under the MICS4 program.
As it was defined during previous meetings, implementation of project shall be conducted with direct participation of state authorities and under general coordination of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Welfare of the PMR.
Participants paid special attention to the issues of Pridnestrovie-UNICEF coordination in other spheres of humanitarian cooperation. In particular, experience of implementation of program of immunologic prophylaxis of population was positively estimated. Bilateral cooperation in this and number of other spheres shall proceed.
