07/17/25

Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the PMR Foreign Minister, Vitaly Ignatiev, met the team of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova, headed by Kelly Keiderling.

During the dialogue, the interlocutors discussed certain outcomes of their joint work over the past three years, including specific issues that remain on the negotiating table, most of which the Mission has been actively assisting in resolving.

The participants of the meeting agreed to continue working on issues related to the normalization of the Vehicle Registration Offices’ (VROs) operation, the import of goods into Pridnestrovie, land use in the Dubossary district of the PMR, and the freedom of movement for citizens and officials.

Vitaly Ignatiev once again emphasized Pridnestrovie’s interest in maintaining peace, stability, and security, expressing concern over the aggressive rhetoric of certain representatives of the Republic of Moldova and the overall militarization of the neighboring state. According to the Pridnestrovian side, continuing the dialogue within legitimate and well-established formats with an agreed circle of participants should be a natural response to the existing challenges.

In conclusion, the Minister noted that in order to resume negotiations, it is necessary to make use of available opportunities and put forward initiatives, including at the level of mediators, rather than seek excuses to prolong the stagnation of the settlement process. The main priority for all participants in the international dialogue should be the protection of people’s rights, interests, and identity.
