On the Meeting of Specialists in Rybnitsa

06/17/25

On June 12, an off-site meeting of the expert (working) groups on education was held in Rybnitsa, with the participation of representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the issue related to the unfinished building located at 14 Gagarin Street.
It is worth noting that, following up on the results of the meeting, the Pridnestrovian side submitted its proposals outlining an algorithm that includes a technical assessment and legal procedures for formalizing the unfinished construction project for its subsequent use for educational purposes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted with bewilderment the comment made by the Moldovan side, as it distorts the substance of the discussions held and calls into question the Republic of Moldova’s readiness for constructive and coordinated efforts to resolve one of the most longstanding issues.
The Foreign Ministry categorically rejects the baseless accusatory rhetoric and urges Chisinau to focus on reviewing the proposals submitted by the Pridnestrovian side and to communicate its position as soon as possible.
The continued primitive speculation by the Republic of Moldova and its refusal to engage in meaningful practical cooperation indicate not a genuine willingness to resolve the issue, but rather an intention to exploit the school-related matter for ongoing provocations and accusations against Pridnestrovie.
