Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev held a meeting with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie, Alexander Vataman.
During the conversation, Alexander Vataman conveyed warm wishes and words of gratitude on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Pridnestrovian authorities for their constructive cooperation and efforts to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
As the Plenipotentiary Representative noted, he was on a working visit to Apsny from April 29 to May 7. As part of a busy agenda, he held meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Bartsyts, Head of the Official Representation of the PMR Garry Kupalba, and other officials. The diplomat also took part in a number of joint events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Continuing the dialogue, Vitaly Ignatiev expressed his gratitude to the guest for conveying the sincere wishes of the Abkhaz leadership and reaffirmed Pridnestrovie’s steadfast commitment to further strengthening and developing bilateral friendly relations. The parties exchanged views on plans for cooperation in the near future, including opportunities for interagency collaboration and coordination at the level of foreign policy institutions, with a particular focus on the development of youth diplomacy.
Concluding the meeting, the participants agreed to maintain working communication on all relevant areas of the shared agenda.
