The Foreign Ministry considers the statement made by the Moldovan side regarding the education-related discussions to be inadequate and marked by the tone of crude, simplistic propaganda.
It should be recalled that Pridnestrovian side insisted on an in-person meeting with Moldova’s political representative on April 8, largely with the aim of presenting to the Moldovan representatives a clear and comprehensive explanation of the necessary steps, offering three practical options for resolving the issue of a new lyceum building in Rybnitsa.
We do not think the Moldovan representatives experience cognitive difficulties in understanding information. At the very least, during the meeting, the political representative of the Republic of Moldova listened attentively and raised no objections, as witnessed by the OSCE and Russian Federation mediators in attendance. Moreover, the Moldovan side indicated the need to conduct further consultations with relevant experts in order to define an acceptable modality for resolving the issue.
Undoubtedly, Pridnestrovie is committed to finding a solution to this issue and convening a meeting of the Expert (Working) Groups on education, as well as on other areas of importance.
As a result, we are confronted with the counterproductive approach of the Moldovan side, when, instead of constructive efforts, its representatives come up with yet another pretext for complaints and propagandistic accusations.
We once again urge Chisinau to engage in professional work on school-related issues and all other matters on the negotiation agenda.
