Today, at the initiative of the South Ossetian side, a phone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev and head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Djioev.
Vitaly Ignatiev informed his counterpart about the consequences of the energy crisis in Pridnestrovie for the population of the republic, the current situation, and possible options for ensuring long-term natural gas supplies.
Akhsar Djioev, in turn, expressed support for Pridnestrovians, who are united and courageously overcoming the difficulties caused by energy constraints. He emphasized that the fraternal people of South Ossetia wish Pridnestrovie a swift resolution of the crisis and a return to normal life.
The sides discussed plans for cooperation in the medium-term perspective and agreed to maintain communication on all relevant issues.
