Today, Expert (Working) Groups on Transport and Road Infrastructure Development held an online meeting. It continued the discussion initiated by Pridnestrovie during the meeting of Political Representatives on 19 November 2024.
The key subject of discussion was related to the fulfilment of the Moldovan side’s commitments on the registration in the VRO of vehicles imported to Pridnestrovie after signing the Protocol Decision on 24 April 2018. Pridnestrovian representatives drew attention to the significant number of car owners who have purchased vehicles over the last six and a half years and who have already signed up in the queue for the services of the VRO in the coming weeks.
In addition, the parties discussed issues of extending the number of service stations in Pridnestrovie authorized for maintenance of vehicles with neutral license plates, the unjustified introduction of increased tariffs by Moldova for the services of the Vehicle Registration Offices, queue management, VRO operating hours, and other aspects.
During the dialogue, the Pridnestrovian side also raised the issue of Moldova’s unjustified restrictions on the use of Pridnestrovian driver’s licenses for movement.
