The results of 30 years of negotiations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, the current state and prospects of the 5+2 format were the topic of the interview.
Vitaly Ignatiev noted that the dialogue process has always had its cycles, when periods of success alternate with stagnation. As of now, Moldova seeks to extend the negative phase, takes unilateral actions, increasing pressure on the economy and social sphere of Pridnestrovie.
The Foreign Minister described Pridnestrovie as a positive common ground for all the participants in the negotiation process and stressed that the best times of the dialogue within the framework of the “Permanent Conference...” are still ahead.
“This format involves all major, leading actors who influence global decision-making. We will continue the dialogue in a transparent mode. Peaceful dialogue and the conflict settlement on civilized grounds is always a win-win for everyone, and first of all for Moldova,” Vitaly Ignatiev said.
