The PMR President received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Moldova. The working discussion began with congratulations. Oleg Vasnetsov celebrates his 70th birthday today. Greeting the Ambassador, Vadim Krasnoselsky praised his merits in the diplomatic service in general and in the consolidation and development of the Pridnestrovian-Russian relations in particular. According to the PMR President, Ambassador holds a responsible post, and the tasks assigned are important for the preservation of peace and security of the Pridnestrovian people, regardless of their Russian citizenship. The head of state praised the high level of constructive cooperation and mutual understanding with the Russian Ambassador, stressing that his diplomatic mission is carried out in a challenging historical period. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the participation of the Embassy and Oleg Vasnetsov personally in the negotiation process, the 5+2 format and peacekeeping mechanisms. The President also noted that he highly appreciates not only professional but also personal qualities of the honoree.
For his part, Oleg Vasnetsov thanked Vadim Krasnoselsky for congratulations and noted that he welcomed the regularity of contacts and the openness of the dialogue. The diplomat expressed readiness to discuss pressing issues. The interlocutors stated a common desire for peace and security.
