The OSCE Mission’s office in Tiraspol hosted a meeting of healthcare experts with representatives of the mediators and observers in the negotiation process.
The initiative to hold a regular meeting of expert (working) groups was conditioned by persisting difficulties in importing demanded medicines into Pridnestrovie. Despite the shortage of pharmaceuticals that emerged, including in Moldova, amid worsening epidemiological situation, the Moldovan side continues to demonstrate non-constructive approaches, refusing to expand the range of medicines with Russian and Ukrainian producers, as well as optimization of excessive bureaucratic procedures applied to the pharmaceutical companies of Pridnestrovie.
The sides also discussed other issues, especially the provision of medical (rehabilitation) assistance to children from Pridnestrovie diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
