The Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Alexander Vataman, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Welcoming the guest, the Head of the Foreign Ministry noted that the interaction with the Abkhazian side is systematic. Vitaly Ignatiev reminded that in December Pridnestrovie and Apsny had signed Memorandum on Cooperation in Healthcare, Social Development and Social Protection.
“The value of partners, allies and friends, including the brotherly republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, is of great importance to us,” the Minister said.
In turn, Alexander Vataman pointed out that this year’s tasks have been accomplished. Practical work under the Memorandum will begin in the near future.
In the course of the discussion, the diplomats talked in detail about a number of current issues in the context of bilateral relations between Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia, as well as promising areas for bilateral cooperation in the coming year.
Concluding the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain working contacts on the entire range of relevant issues.
