A Czech delegation arrived in Tiraspol on a working visit. The diplomats were received by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Moldova Stanislav Kázecký was accompanied by his Deputy, Counselor for Political and Consular Affairs Martin Čech. The Pridnestrovian side was also represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev. They discussed bilateral Pridnestrovian-Czech contacts, as well as the work of the Permanent Conference format, to which the Czech Republic is a participant as a representative of the European Union (5+2 observer) and one of the 57 members of the OSCE – the negotiation process mediator.
The interlocutors noted that their previous meeting took place last year. Since then, issues requiring discussion have accumulated. An example is the conclusion of the current mutually beneficial energy contracts, on which the well-being, comfort and safety of the citizens of both Pridnestrovie and Moldova depend.
