Today, at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, an online meeting was held on the issues of importing to Pridnestrovie products for plant protection and increasing soil fertility.
At the meeting, the Pridnestrovian side raised the issue of creating predictable conditions for agricultural activity through Moldova’s refusal to prevent the import of plant protection products registered in the PMR state register into Pridnestrovie. The uninterrupted supply of the mentioned products during the sowing campaign was emphasized as being of utmost importance in terms of food security. The absence in the Pridnestrovian register of products whose active agents are banned for environmental or medical reasons or those that would not appear in the relevant registers of Russia, Moldova or Ukraine was pointed out in particular.
The Pridnestrovian side proposed to continue to negotiate an acceptable mechanism for the import of PPPs to Pridnestrovie, given the current practice, the needs of the agricultural sector and the provisions of the Protocol Decision of February 15, 2018.
Also, at the initiative of the Moldovan side, certain aspects related to the application of the Protocol Decision on Land Use in the Dubossary Region of Pridnestrovie of November 25, 2017 were touched upon.
