Today, a meeting of experts from Pridnestrovie and Moldova took place via videoconference to discuss pressing problematic issues of current concern that arise during the medication imports. The meeting was also attended by representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process.
In its initiative to hold another meeting, the Pridnestrovian side proceeded from the irresponsible approach of the Moldovan side which has for two months delayed the implementation of a ready solution designed to simplify the mechanism of medication imports to Pridnestrovie.
Challenges and bureaucratic hurdles that still persist in the delivery via Moldova of vital and socially important medicines intended for the population and medical institutions of Pridnestrovie have caused a significant increase in drug prices, a reduced range of medications and a 35% drop in imports of medicines to Pridnestrovie in the first half of 2022.
Moreover, the sides discussed the purchase of reagents for laboratory tests, as well as the provision of medical (rehabilitation) services for children from Pridnestrovie diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
