Alexandr Stetsiuk Attended the Memorial for the Victims of the War of 2008 in South Ossetia
Today at the Glory Memorial in Tiraspol the victims of the military aggression of Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia of 2008 were remembered.
The representatives of the state authorities, public organizations and the residents of the republic attended the event. PMR Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk represented the Foreign Ministry.
Flower laying ceremony was held in memory of the victims.
On the occasion of the tragic date, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev sent condolences to Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev.
“Having survived the war, Pridnestrovie shares the pain of the losses and mourns the dead together with the brotherly Ossetian people. We bow our heads to all those who fell in the fight for freedom and independence of their state. Today we wish South Ossetia peaceful skies above,” the address reads.
