The PMR President’s Office hosted a meeting between Vadim Krasnoselsky and Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch. Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Political Advisor of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Grigory Alkhazov also took part in the discussion.

Welcoming the guests, the Head of the Pridnestrovian state noted that the meetings have a regular character. Systematic communication makes it possible to build an effective working interaction, Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed. The main issues are now security and peace, the interlocutors shared. All the participants of the meeting also agreed that the dialogue should continue under any, even the most complicated circumstances. Discussing the viability of the Permanent Conference format, the parties noted that they did not abandon the hope of resuming its full-fledged work, while in the current circumstances, when it is a challenge to gather all 5+2 representatives, it is important to continue the negotiation process at the level of expert (working) groups and in 1+1 format.

The OSCE proposal related to the solution of the banking issue was discussed today. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for their activity and initiative, noting that the Pridnestrovian side has supported and worked on the proposal. The decision is up to the Moldovan side.

Peacekeeping was also touched upon at the meeting. Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded that tomorrow the republic will mark the 30th anniversary of the deployment of Russian peacekeepers on the Pridnestrovian territory. The President stressed the importance and effectiveness of the mission, which has been ensuring peace on the banks of the Dniester for three decades.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, dwelt on some aspects of the practical implementation of a number of initiatives, and outlined plans for further cooperation.
