The Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between PMR Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and Head of the Embassy Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova Floris van Eijk. Researchers from the Clingedael Institute, Bob Deen and Wouter Zweers, also participated in the dialogue.
The communication focused on a wide range of issues related to the negotiation process and the prospects for settling relations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
The interlocutors also discussed the situation of the PMR in the current regional context. Alexandr Stetsiuk noted that the republic feels the adverse impact from the current circumstances, including with regard to the import of goods, especially medicines.
The Pridnestrovian side separately informed about the situation with the Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in Pridnestrovie stressing that they are provided with all necessary relief. It was also pointed out that since recently they have been receiving targeted support from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Further discussion addressed the issues of foreign economic activity of Pridnestrovie and a number of other pressing issues.
