Today, a meeting of Pridnestrovian and Moldovan experts took place via videoconference to address pressing problematic issues that arise during the import of medicines. Representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process, as well as a delegation of the World Health Organization attended the discussion.
The Pridnestrovian side’s proposal to hold this meeting came amid the continued administrative barriers and difficulties in the delivery through the territory of Moldova of vital and socially important medicines intended for the population and medical institutions of Pridnestrovie.
Updated information was received on the degree of implementation by the Moldovan side of its earlier commitments to amend the existing procedures and a relevant list in order to simplify the bureaucratic process and expand the range of medicines imported into Pridnestrovie.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed a number of accumulated technical issues on the example of specific medicines and possible ways to resolve such challenges.
