A meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the delegation of the United Nations agencies led by Kristin Jenssen, Peace and Development Adviser, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among the agencies represented were the UN Development Programme, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and UN Women.
In the course of the meeting, UN representatives shared their plans for the next two years under the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund. The UN agencies intend to develop cooperation in the field of human rights, including with a focus on the protection of the rights of women and people with disabilities.
Closing the meeting, the sides agreed to continue substantive discussions of project initiatives in relevant areas of bilateral cooperation.
