Due to the continuation of baseless publications on the social media of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this time about the allegedly provocative actions being prepared by the Russian side on the territory of Pridnestrovie, the PMR’s Foreign Ministry is authorized to state the following.
No military preparations or special measures threatening neighboring Ukraine are being carried out on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. An objective analysis of the situation does not give grounds to doubt the immutability of such a position of the Pridnestrovian state.
The leadership of Pridnestrovie takes all measures to effectively ensure peace, tranquility and security in the republic. We are also interested in preserving the tranquility of residents of Ukrainian regions bordering Pridnestrovie, for which the PMR’s Foreign Ministry once again calls on the Ukrainian side to show concern for its own citizens and refrain from recurrently voicing false information that creates unreasonable tension.
