Vadim Krasnoselsky Met with British Ambassador Steven Fisher

The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Steven Fisher was held at the presidential executive office.

Welcoming the British Diplomat, Vadim Krasnoselsky pointed out that personal meetings are rare due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and therefore they are even more valuable. The President noted the interest Great Britain takes in the situation in and around Pridnestrovie. “Although the United Kingdom is not a 5+2 format participant, your view is nevertheless taken into consideration when resolving pressing issues. We are interested to know, it is important for us to hear your opinion on the current situation,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said.

Steven Fisher noted that the previous meeting took place in September 2021. At the same time, he stressed that he had carefully followed the developments throughout this period and indicated his readiness to discuss issues of mutual interest.

In the course of the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the current range of topics, including the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian negotiation process, as well as the current regional and international situation.
