Today, political representatives from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova Vitaly Ignatiev and Oleg Serebrian held a meeting via video link.
During the discussion, the Pridnestrovian side outlined a broad list of pressing problematic aspects that have accumulated in relations between the parties in various fields.
The main emphasis was put on a complex of issues in the field of motor transport. In this context, the Pridnestrovian side paid particular attention to the continuing problem resulting from the illegally detained Pridnestrovian plates in the Republic of Moldova on December 22, 2021, subsequently seized and carried away in unknown direction.
The need to promptly resolve the situation with the use of Pridnestrovian reanimobiles in cases when patients must be urgently taken to foreign medical institutions was separately noted.
During the communication, the Pridnestrovian side highlighted a number of problems amid the ongoing practice of detaining goods of Pridnestrovian economic agents and hampering the import of certain categories of goods into the PMR, including medicines.
Repatriation of two minor natives of Pridnestrovie was also raised in view of the Moldovan side's unwillingness to cooperate with the PMR guardianship authorities.
Other issues of interest to each of the parties were also discussed during the dialogue. Mutual interest in revitalizing the work of expert (working) groups and organizing the next meeting of the "Permanent Conference..." in the "5+2" format was expressed. The parties agreed to hold the next meeting in early February.
