For the first time within the last 15 months, on June 2, took place a videoconference meeting of Expert (Working) groups from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova on crime combating issues.
During the meeting, parties returned to discuss topical issues of cooperation within the law enforcement sphere, including provisions regarding the implementation of existing obligations of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova to resolve the problem of criminal prosecution of officials.
During the meeting, the Pridnestrovian delegation called for resuming practical cooperation between the enforcement agencies of the parties on the basis of a legally significant agreement in order to prevent cases of criminal prosecution of citizens for political reasons and to ensure their legal rights and personal safety.
