On the Meeting with the Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev received the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Peter Michalko.

During the conversation, the Head of the PMR Foreign Ministry dwelled in detail on actual threats to the negotiation process associated with the applied and planned restrictions on the part of the Republic of Moldova in various fields. In particular, special emphasis was placed on the problem of blocking bank accounts of Pridnestrovian enterprises, on Moldova non-fulfilling its obligations in the field of telecommunication, on possible restrictions in the field of trade and international road traffic. Separately, the Minister made a proposal to assist within releasing Pridnestrovian import cargoes that are illegally held by the customs structures of the Republic of Moldova.

Interlocutors exchanged views on the current situation within Vehicle Registration Offices activities and discussed as well the situation of other agreements implementation reached within the framework of the Berlin + package.

Ending the meeting, Vitaly Ignatiev stressed the inadmissibility of any blockade and restrictive measures that contradict the agreements of the negotiation process and violate Pridnestrovian residents’ rights and interests.
