Aide to the PMR’s President, Vitaly Bondar and Head of the PMR Official Representation in Russia Leonid Manakov participated in the working meeting that took place at the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States and compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation.
Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Pavel Shevtsov represented the Russian side and was accompanied by Advisor to the 2nd Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry for CIS Affairs Petr Inozemtsev and Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science Olga Filonova together with Deputy Head of the Organizational and Analytical Department Konstantin Vinogradov.
During the meeting, interlocutors held a substantive discussion on strengthening Russian-Pridnestrovian humanitarian cooperation. In particular, participants discussed issues related to developing the PMR’s educational system in accordance with Russian standards, establishing cultural and educational ties between Pridnestrovie and Russian regions, as well as training Pridnestrovian citizens in higher educational institutions of Russia. Separately, they touched upon aspects related to interuniversity cooperation and implementing the working plan of the contact center of the Pridnestrovian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko in cooperation with Rossotrudnichestvo.
During the conversation, the sides also paid attention to issues of ensuring rights and interests of Russian citizens and compatriots living in Pridnestrovie.
