On the Meeting with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn

As part of his visit to the capital of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met with the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn.

During the meeting, diplomats held a thorough discussion on the current situation in the process of relations regulating between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. The Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister pointed to the ongoing dialogue degradation due to the Moldovan side which is evading to implement the 2016-2018 reached agreements, a fact that causes lack of dynamics in resolving problems within vehicles, telecommunication, criminal cases and interbank cooperation issues. Separately, were identified risks associated with the announced ban on entry into the territory of Ukraine for vehicles with Pridnestrovian license plates. 

Speaking about the Moldovan – Pridnestrovian negotiation process prospects, the parties expressed mutual interest as to the soonest work resumption at all its levels, including holding the next "5 + 2" format meeting. In addition, diplomats agreed it is unacceptable any unilateral action that would lead to a socio-economic and humanitarian situation worsening.

Following the discussion up, interlocutors discussed development parameters for bilateral cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie in a number of topical areas. Attention was paid as well to issues of supporting a stable functioning for the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.
