Vitaly Ignatiev Met with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn

The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vitaly Tryapitsyn.

During the conversation, a substantive discussion of the current situation in the process of relations regulation between Pridnestrovie and the Republic Moldova took place. Vitaly Ignatiev expressed concerns about the continuing dialogue degradation between the parties and about the dynamics lack at all levels of the negotiation process, a fact that does negatively affect the prospects for normalizing relations. The diplomats agreed on the need to speed up, as soon as possible, the negotiation mechanisms aimed at resolving the entire range of existing problematic aspects in people’s interests. Interlocutors also discussed the "Permanent Meeting ..." format’s working prospects in 2021.

Special attention was paid to the issues of stable functioning of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester.

The parties, as well exchanged views on important areas of bilateral agenda, including the topics of diverse support for Russian citizens and compatriots living in Pridnestrovie and on issues of pandemic and its effective countering.

Ending the meeting, the diplomats agreed to continue regular working communication across the entire spectrum of topical areas.
