The Pridnestrovian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses deep condolences to family and relatives of the Abkhazian-Russian social-political activist, academician Taras Shamba on his sudden decease.
Being Abkhazian people’s eminent son and a true patriot, Taras Shamba devoted his live serving his Motherland’s interests. A talented and productive scientist, a dynamic public person he stood at the origins of Apsny modern statehood, he made a huge contribution to the unification of the Abkhaz people, to the development and prosperity of the Republic of Abkhazia, to the expansion of international relations of the young state.
The PMR Foreign Ministry knew Taras Shamba as an intelligent, decent, responsive and purposeful person. Over the years of joint work, he has proved himself a true friend of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and kept supporting the Pridnestrovian state’s course towards strengthening independence and sovereignty; together with, he participated in arranging scientific-expert work on PMR’s international recognition issue.
Such a tragic news deeply saddened the PMR’s MFA. We express sincere words of sympathy and moral support to Taras Shamba’s relatives. In this painful hour we mourn with them.
