The Photo Exhibition Dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the PMR Opened in Sukhum


On September 2, in the Central Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of Abkhazia in the city of Sukhum, opened the photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic foundation. The event was attended by Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, Chief of Staff of the President Alkhas Kvitsinia, Head of the Official Representative Office of Pridnestrovie in Abkhazia Garry Kupalba, deputies of the Parliament and the Sukhum City Council, Mayor of the capital Beslan Eshba, Minister of Defense Vladimir Anua, Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia Oleg Botsiev, Russian diplomats and representatives of public organizations.

In his welcoming speech, Vice President of Abkhazia Badra Gunba emphasized that "Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia have a lot in common, first of all, history and common views." He also congratulated the people of Pridnestrovie on the anniversary, wishing peace, goodness and prosperity, great success in building a free, independent, democratic state.

In turn, speaking about the exposition, the Head of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in Abkhazia Garry Kupalba, noted that “the presented photographs give an opportunity to see the way the republic lives today”. 

The exhibition of photographs deployed in the Central Exhibition Hall demonstrates the life of people in Pridnestrovie alike the sights and nature of the republic. The exhibition is planned to be exposed in Sukhum, and then in the cities of Gudauta and Ochamchira in September-October current year.
