The Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister, Vitaly Ignatiev, sent congratulations to the heads of foreign affairs agencies of the republics Daur Kove and Dmitry Medoev on independence recognition anniversary of Abkhazia and South Ossetia by the Russian Federation.
The Minister emphasized that the recognition by Russia on August 26, 2008 became a natural historical event, a guarantee for free development of the two states in an atmosphere of peace and progress. According to the head of the PMR Foreign Ministry, "having stood with honor in the hardest conditions, defending their sovereignty with arms in their hands, the people of Apsny and Alania have proved their statehood viability, showing unbending will and firm faith in victory."
Vitaly Ignatiev expressed confidence that the people of Abkhazia and South Ossetia wisdom, their hard work and solidarity will continue serving a solid foundation for a further comprehensive development of the republics.
