Pridnestrovie Received Humanitarian Aid from the World Health Organization


Today, the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic received the first batch of targeted humanitarian aid through the World Health Organization; it consists of means aimed at combatting COVID-19: surgical masks (121,000 pcs.), respirators (35,000 pcs.), protective gowns (3,600 pcs.) and protective glasses (1600 pcs.).

Recall that taking into account the existing WHO’s capabilities and as an outcome of the WHO representatives’ visit to Pridnestrovie on May 6, 2020 a working collaboration was arranged to determine the current needs of Pridnestrovie in the fight against the coronavirus infection.

The Pridnestrovian side expresses its gratitude to the World Health Organization for the assistance provided in the framework of countering the COVID-19 spread and also confirms its openness to further cooperation with the international community.
