The Moldovan head of state, Igor Dodon initiated a telephone conversation with Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky. Interlocutors discussed the progress of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The parties touched upon a number of expert (working) groups’ activities. They agreed to continue the working dialogue aimed at confidence improving between the sides. The Presidents talked about the situation in the Security Zone and in particular about the reasonable decision taken in the light of coronavirus spread prevention to limit the movement of citizens located in a number of villages from the Dubossary District and also from Kopanka and Varnitsa. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Igor Dodon came to the opinion that the movement mechanism for these citizens must be simplified. It was decided that the persons who are permanent residents of the mentioned villages, notwithstanding their citizenship will receive a free movement possibility between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The limitations continue to act for the PMR’s citizens that do not permanently live in those villages. In the case of an urgent movement, they have to obligatory receive the Presidential Crisis Centers’ permission.
Ending the conversation, the states leaders stated common confidence that the basic goal is to protect people’s lives, health, right and freedoms.
